Nestled within a timeless and sensual landscape, Nanny Goat Estate Vineyard sits about 280m above sea level spread across two ancient, North East facing terraces.
Growing up in Roxburgh, just out of Central Otago, means Nanny Goat winemaker Alan Peters-Oswald is no stranger to unique terroir.
"Central Otago is where I was raised, it’s in my blood. It inspires me to pursue the impossible, the creation of the perfect Pinot."
“Our Pinot Noir is lively on the nose with vivid aromas of raspberry, blueberry, and red currant fruits, with nuances of toasted brown spice and subtle herbs.”
“The palate is vibrant up front with a core of juicy fruits suggestive of wild berries, red cherry and tamarillo. Cola and toasted spice adds interest whilst a sinewy thread of fine-grained tannin entwines the palate and ushers you towards a lingering finish.”
And in case you were wondering...
Nanny Goat Vineyard is named after the wild goats that roam the mountainous terrain.
