20ml cocktail cherry syrup (from a jar of cocktail cherries)

50ml unsweetened pineapple juice

50ml whisky (or use classic white rum, should you want to stick to a signature Mai Tai)

pineapple wedges and cocktail cherries, to garnish (optional)
The sweet almondy flavours of maraschino syrup and the tartness of pineapple marry beautifully
with whisky's smoky notes for a distinct winter tiki vibe. Serves 1

Shake all ingredients in an ice-filled cocktail shaker, then strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with pineapple wedges and cocktail cherries, if desired.
