30ml pomegranate juice

30ml lemon juice

30ml whisky

30ml chilli simple syrup

1-2 red chillies

1 cup water

¼ cup sugar
Turn up the heat and the flavour with this delicious fruity, spicy take on a traditional sour. Serves 1

Chilli simple syrup: Chop chillies (remove membranes and seeds for less spice) and add to a small sauce pan with water and sugar. Bring to a boil, turn down heat and simmer 10 minutes. Let cool. Strain out solids.

For the cocktail: Add all ingredients to an ice-filled cocktail shaker and strain into a short, ice-filled glass.
