handful basil leaves

200ml St Germain Elderflower Liqueur

20ml lime juice

60ml gin

100ml soda water

lime wedges, to serve
Sweet elderflower blossom liqueur, gin, and a burst of basil; this one is ideal to ease into the weekend after a busy week.

Add half the basil leaves, and the elderflower liqueur, lime juice and gin to a cocktail shaker.

Half fill with ice and stir vigorously. Shake well.

Put the remaining basil leaves in a serving glass (either a martini glass or coupe), strain the cocktail into the glass and top up with soda.

Serve with lime wedges for squeezing.
