Ingredients

  • ice
  • 90ml Italian Prosecco DOC
  • 60ml Aperol
  • soda water
  • orange wedge, to garnish
The perfect starter, this refreshing aperitif is well-known for its back-story, being popular in the 1950s at aperitivo hours throughout Italy. But the 'dry' drink with sweet and bitter orange, rhubarb and genetian root remains a fine choice anytime, any season. Saluti! Serves 1
  1. Fill a large wine glass with ice.
  2. Combine the Italian Prosecco with the Aperol. Top with one part (or a splash to taste) of premium soda water.
  3. Garnish with an orange wedge.
