Ingredients

  • ice cubes
  • 60ml tequila 
  • 120ml orange juice
  • 30ml grenadine
  • orange peel, to garnish
You can't beat a nostalgic tequila sunrise. Vibrant to look at, and vibrant in the mouth. Serves 1 .

This cocktail was inspired by Resene Paint Colour. Foreground painted in Resene Tequila Sunrise; round dishes painted in Resene Very Berry; square coaster painted in Resene Meringue.

  1. Half-fill a highball glass with ice and add tequila and orange juice.
  2. Gently pour in grenadine, which will sink to the bottom, creating a gradient.
  3. Garnish with an orange peel twist.
