Looking for something different to drink? We are crushing on Crabbie’s Alcoholic Ginger Beer right now, drunk neat or added to some tasty cocktails
If you’re anything like us here at Toast, you occasionally want something new to drink. Last weekend we discovered Crabbie’s Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer, and it’s rocking our world.
This wee Scottish bevvy has been made in Edinburgh since 1801, by cold steeping ginger and leaving it to mature for six weeks, then adding secret spices for some extra oomph.
How to drink it
Served straight up or with ice, this drink is super refreshing with a pleasingly complex flavour profile, and there’s a fruit-focussed version, Crabbie’s Raspberry Alcoholic Ginger Beer.
We are also experimenting with it in cocktails (research, research, research!), and our current favourites are the Crabbie’s Time, Moscow Mule and Raspberry Delight, see below for recipes. Slàinte (which is Scottish Gaelic for cheers!).
